Our Mission

Welcome to Ernie’s Warriors, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting family caregivers. Ernie’s Warriors was born from personal experience- caring for our beloved Ernie, who bravely battled Dementia for 10 years, while also navigating life without hearing.

To us, Ernie was more than just family; he was a cornerstone of our lives. Caring for him was a profound and often challenging learning experience. Although we were not parents at the time, we were unexpectedly thrust into the world of caregiving, a world that was unfamiliar and, at times, overwhelming. We faced numerous challenges and soon realized that navigating caregiving without the right support and resources can feel incredibly isolating.

Throughout our decade-long commitment to Ernie, we discovered the limited resources available to families who do not qualify for Medicaid. Too often, financial thresholds leave many families in a difficult position, forced to manage complex care needs without sufficient help. This gap in care and support became the catalyst for the creation of Ernie's Warriors.

Our mission is to bridge that gap by providing essential resources, information, and community support to family caregivers on a journey similar to ours. We are committed to ensuring that no caregiver feels alone or unprepared as they navigate this deeply personal and demanding role.
